Get your career off to the perfect start as a conference operations assistant focusing on the Technical Program. Perks include housing and travel support. High school, undergraduate, and graduate students (18+ years old) of all majors are encouraged to apply — especially those in non-computing fields!

SIGHPC Immersion

Ideal for undergraduates early in their academic journey, this program provides guided access to technical talks, workshops, and career exploration in computer science, engineering, and computational science. This elite program provides travel assistance and full conference access for successful applicants.

student Cluster Competition

A thrilling test of HPC skills, the Student Cluster Competition (SCC) challenges undergraduate teams to design, build, and optimize computing clusters in a 48-hour nonstop competition at the SC Conference in St. Louis. Sponsored by leading industry vendors, this event highlights students’ expertise and teamwork. Teams require six students and an advisor. Build a team and get ready to rumble.

IndySCC

The hybrid extension of the SCC, this competition allows undergraduates to compete from anywhere in the world, honing their HPC skills in a cloud-based environment. Culminating in a 48-hour competition, IndySCC takes full advantage of NSF’s Jetstream2, allowing teams to optimize applications, tackle real-world workloads, and challenge other teams in a rewarding experience.

Mentor–Protégé Matching

Get paired with an experienced HPC mentor who can provide valuable career insights and guidance. Kick off the mentorship with a special breakfast before the Keynote, where you’ll have the chance to discuss career paths, industry trends, and professional growth.

Open to all conference attendees, this event hosts rapid-fire face-to-face mentoring sessions, making it an excellent way to network and gain industry perspectives all in one place. Get to know your fellow conference attendees in St. Louis. Lunch will be provided!
