December 10, 2025 Students Call for Participation Lead Student Volunteers SIGHPC Immersion Student Volunteers Share this page: Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Email By Suzanne Parete-Koon This year, SC25 welcomed 130 Student Volunteers from 28 U.S. states and 15 countries across five continents—a wide-ranging group with a shared interest in supercomputing. Included in that number were some incredible volunteers from our host city of St. Louis. One of them, Timila Dangol from Webster University, joined us to reflect on her experience and the value of building connections in the local community. Local Perspectives The Value of Student Programs During her time in the program, Timila explored how high performance computing (HPC) connects her interests in computer science and biology. “It was incredibly exciting to engage with such a diverse tech community right here in St. Louis,” recalls Timila Dangol, a Webster University graduate who participated in the SC25 Student Program. “Having SC25 close to home was a rare and valuable opportunity for a college student like me to connect, learn, and grow.” She also appreciated the relationships and insights she gained along the way. “I’m grateful for the chance to learn from HPC experts and meet people who share my passion. That experience really expanded my perspective on what’s possible.” Timilia Dangol Webster University Calling All Students!
