TNT: Technical Network Training

The TNT program provided hands-on technical experience for participants seeking to develop foundational networking skills. Through direct involvement in SCinet operations, participants gained exposure to real equipment, real problems, and real-time network performance demands.

WINS: Workforce in Networking at SC

WINS supported a peer-reviewed cohort of 5-8 early- to mid-career professionals, offering funded travel, mentorship, and the opportunity to serve as SCinet volunteers. The program built both technical confidence and lasting professional relationships across the networking community.

CommUNITY: LOCAL ENGAGEMENT

The CommUNITY program focused on individuals from the St. Louis area, creating accessible pathways for local residents to explore networking careers. Participants gained exposure to the SCinet build, interacted with technical volunteers, and developed new skills that could spark long-term career interests.

Across all three programs, participants worked shoulder-to-shoulder with SCinet volunteers during the conference, gaining insight into real-world network deployment and operations—fast, dynamic, and filled with opportunities to learn. Structured mentorship paired technical training with career guidance, giving participants both the skills and the confidence to take their next steps in networking.

These programs continued SCinet’s commitment to growing talent from diverse backgrounds and expanding access to technical career paths. With 18 participants taking part at SC25, the SCinet community celebrated not only another successful build, but another year of helping new professionals discover their place in the field.
